I hope everyone had a restful and happy winter break.  As you may have realized...tomorrow (Monday, February 22nd) is the 100th day of school!  You may have heard from the children that in my second grade room, we don't celebrate the 100th day of school...we celebrate the 101st day!

On Tuesday, February 23rd...the 2nd graders will be celebrating 101 Dalmatian Day-because Mrs. Reiss is a nutty dog enthusiast!!!  If your child would like to bring a stuffed dog to class on Tuesday, feel free to send the little friend to school.

Kids...don't forget to wear black and white or polka dots to school on Tuesday for 101 Dalmatian Day!  If you have a copy of 101 Dalmatians or if you have a favorite dog book...bring it to school on Tuesday!  Dogs, Dogs, Dogs!!!!

The second graders met with Mrs. Costello's first grade class to work on a Trumpet of the Swan project.  Check out our giant bulletin board in the hallway outside our classroom.  The children designed their very own UNIQUE "Louis Swans" to celebrate our Dare to be Different celebration!
