A mystery reader is a parent, grandparent, sibling, babysitter, friend, aunt or uncle that comes into the classroom and reads one of their favorite children's books. Before your visit to our classroom, the students will receive clues about you. At the end of the week, on Fridays from 2:00-2:30, the mystery reader surprises the children with a great book!
How do I become a mystery reader?
There will be a sign-up Genius link given to you shortly via email. The week before your scheduled visit, I will contact you (via email) reminding you of the date & time as well as asking you to provide clues about yourself.
Why mystery readers?
Mystery readers are an exciting way for students to learn that readers are all around us! My hope is that we will have a diverse mix of family members to share their love of reading & excitement about learning. The students will also enjoy reading the clues and making predictions.
Thank you for your continued support. I hope to see you in our classroom as a mystery reader!
